![]() On September 7, 2002, our son, Jamie, wed the lovely Onalie Mesa Oakstar at a Nuptial Mass in St. Mary's Church in Obernburg, followed by a reception for 200 at, where else!, Little Texas Ranch. We had some wonderful people working for us that day - I didn't have to lift a finger on the day of the wedding (we'll talk about all the finger lifting that went on BEFORE the wedding another time <grin>) - and people are STILL telling us it was the BEST wedding reception they'd ever attended.
Me too!
![]() In July of '02, our niece, Christa Pearson (nee Krofecheck) and her then-husband-to-be, George Pearson, held their rehearsal dinner at Little Texas. It was a great party, even if I do say so myself, and as the local newspaper reporters used to say, "a good time was had by all!"
Little Texas Ranch was host to a 50th Jubilee Party for Father Gus Richardson of St. Mary's Church in September, 2001. Over 140 guests attended the dinner - along with the full contingent of Sullivan County's Franciscan Friars, with Fr. Ignatius Smith, OFM, as M.C.
Here's what Father Gus' sister had to say:
"Dear Rita & Jim,
You certainly know how to throw a party! Everything about it was just wonderful - the delicious food, the decorative space looks terrific, the music - the best. Thank you so much for making it happen!... Thank you for all the time, effort and energy I know it took. You're great people!!! Love, Therese"
and now we're ready for YOUR party, reception or affair!
