Nestled in the Catskills, in a sleepy little hamlet called Obernburg, New York, Little Texas Ranch is a piece of Sullivan County history. Little Texas Ranch has undergone many changes since it was built by Jim Greier in 1961 as a Country & Western Dance Club and Restaurant and a new home to the "Haylofters," his Country-Western Band (now called "The Texans") on his Grandparents' farm. It quickly evolved into a Dude Ranch by popular demand, where for over twenty years guests from all over the world had a chance to become cowboys!
Ever since we closed our doors in 1987 to spend more time raising our three children, people have been asking us to reopen.
Our dude ranch days are gone forever (that's a young man's business for sure!), but we've reopened Little Texas Ranch as a banquet/catering hall for private parties for a select clientele, with a new kitchen, new bar, new restrooms and an updated dining room, overlooking our 200-acre horse farm - and the fun's beginning all over again!
